iClozet (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is built and operated by Sadegh Aghabozorgi. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do. The plain summary is at the top; the detail sits below it.
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. In every case we store a Supabase user UUID and the identity provider's subject identifier. With Sign in with Apple we do not receive your real name or email unless you explicitly choose to share them; with Google or email sign-in we store the email address the provider gives us, used only to operate your account.
Photos you capture and save, and the structured metadata we derive from them (category, color, tags), are stored under your account. These are the items you see in the Closet tab.
If you subscribe to iClozet Plus, Apple sends us notifications
about your subscription state (active, expired, refunded). We store your
originalTransactionId, plan, status, and renewal/expiry dates so
the app can tell whether you're entitled to unlimited identifications.
We collect crash reports, performance traces, and per-task latency counts. These are aggregated and not linked to your account.
If you share a poll or style request, the link is a snapshot: the images you chose, your question, and — from each friend who responds — the name they type, their picks, and an optional short note. Responses are visible only to you. You can remove any response, report it, and block the sender (long-press a response), and you can close a link at any time; links expire automatically after 7 days.
Identifying a garment runs an on-device vision pipeline plus, when needed, one of a small set of cloud vision-language models operated by third parties: Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and Anthropic. A photo is only sent to these services after you explicitly agree to cloud AI processing — the app asks the first time, and you can turn it off at any time in Profile → Cloud AI identification (identification then runs fully on-device). Each vendor has signed a zero-retention agreement: the image and the prompt are not retained, logged, or used for training. The current vendor list is kept current at iclozet.com/vendors.
When you tap “Shop” on a product card, iClozet rewrites the destination URL through an affiliate program (Skimlinks, LTK, or Amazon Associates depending on the retailer) so we may earn a small commission if you buy. The rewrite is transparent — the same canonical product URL is preserved end-to-end. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
iClozet is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
